This obtuse shaped lot at the corner of Woodrow and Romeria
serves as a gateway into the heart of the Brentwood neighborhood.
Taking our cue from several surrounding homes, we sheathed the
first floor in red school house brick and
understated the second floor color palette. The first and second
floors are juxtaposed in response to the odd curvature of the
lot. |
|
We also attempted to give relief to the neighbors but "indenting"
the second floors away from their homes.
Seven pear trees will be planted along the curved public sidewalk
while two more will be inserted into the plant island between
the two driveways. The private patios will have a tropical
theme, featuring palms, banana trees and ferns.
